The New York Giants struggled with injuries in 2019, especially in the wide receiver corps. Sterling Shepard suffered multiple concussions that put his career in jeopardy, Darius Slayton missed the first two games of the season due to injury, and Corey Coleman tore his ACL during training camp. Altogether, they missed 21 total games, putting rookie quarterback Daniel Jones in a tumultuous position.
Adding depth and talent to the unit is essential for the growth of the offense and Jones’ long-term success. Currently, they have a Shepard, Slayton, Coleman, and Golden Tate as their top four wide receivers.
