Despite some young promising offensive lineman, the New York Giants should think about releasing veterans Nate Solder and Kevin Zeitler in order to save some room under the salary cap for 2021.
One player that could replace Zeitler is New England Patriots’ guard Joe Thuney who can also slide outside and play some tackle.
The 27 year-old Thuney has played a whopping 97 percent of the Patriots’ offensive snaps during his first five NFL seasons. What’s really impressive is that he’s only allowed two sacks over the course of 980 snaps.
If the price is right, signing Thuney would be an upgrade for the Giants at right tackle or right guard in place of either Zeitler or Solder.
