Reports came out on Wednesday that the Detroit Lions are releasing veteran running back Kerryon Johnson now that they have a very crowded backfield.
Johnson rushed for 1,225 yards and eight touchdowns with an average of 4.3 yards per carry during his first three years in the NFL, after being taken in the second round of the 2018 NFL Draft.
I know the Giants just added Devontae Booker in free agency, but Johnson is only 23 years-old and could be a good option for the Giants with starter Saquon Barkley not expected to be ready for training camp.
