Saquon Barkley’s miraculous return won’t come vs. Vikings

He is human. Well, at least a little bit.

Giants running back Saquon Barkley will not play Sunday against the Vikings, two weeks after suffering a high-ankle sprain in Tampa.

Barkley gave fans hope when he made a stunning return to the practice field on Wednesday, significantly ahead of the six-to-eight-week timetable for his return to game action. Giants coach Pat Shurmur kept open the possibility of Barkley playing the past two days, but it was always unlikely.

The Giants have four days between the Vikings matchup and a Thursday night Week 6 showdown with the Patriots.
