Saquon Barkley: 'I didn't play a good game'

ATLANTA — Saquon Barkley was upset about the loss, but also about what he felt was his role in it.

“Honestly, personally, I didn’t play a good game,” the rookie running back said after Monday’s 23-20 loss to the Falcons. “First half, second half, I wasn’t the player that I usually am. I have to continue to grow there, continue to develop.”

He wound up with 94 yards from scrimmage, the first game of his career that he’s been held to fewer than 100 (and coming up one game shy of tying the record for consecutive games with at least 100 to start an NFL career, which was set last year by Kareem Hunt of the Chiefs).
