As Saquon Barkley made the outstretched catch behind top cornerback Janoris Jenkins and inside linebacker Alec Ogletree, the instant reaction was what a difference it made for quarterback Kyle Lauletta when playing with the starters instead of the third-teamers.
That observation quickly took a backseat as Barkley gingerly walked back to the sideline. He did not return for any more snaps during the hour-long practice, mostly staying on a knee with a wrap on his leg.
The wrap was gone by the time Barkley walked off the field with his teammates (not the training staff) at the end of the approximately 70-minute practice.
