Sam Bradford released by Cardinals | Will Giants sign Pat Shurmur protege headed to waivers?

Sam Bradford started his career under Pat Shurmur on the Rams, continued under Shurmur with the Eagles and rejuvenated his career under Shurmur on the Vikings.

Will he end it with Shurmur on the Giants?

Bradford was released Saturday by the Cardinals, who are moving foward with rookie first-round pick Josh Rosen as their starter. He signed a one-year contract worth $15 million in the offseason despite missing most of last season due to injury.

Bradford was the No. 1 overall pick in the 2010 NFL Draft when Shurmur was the offensive coordinator. The two reunited with the Eagles in 2015 and both went from Philadelphia to the Vikings after the end of the Chip Kelly era.
