Landon Collins has won the NFC Defensive Player of the Week twice this season. He’s been talked about as a potential Pro Bowl player, maybe even an All-Pro. And his play even has allowed his name to creep into conversations for the NFL’s Defensive Player of the Year (one offshore betting website gave him 6-to-1 odds to win that award, the same as the Rams’ Aaron Donald).
But if he’s looking for a slap on the back from his position coach, he’ll have to wait.
“One of the things that I tell all the guys is that I’m not going to praise you,” Giants safeties coach Dave Merritt said on Friday.
