So, likely to the surprise of no one, the New York Giants are reportedly parting ways with the veteran linebacker after just one season, according to a report on ESPN. Connor Barwin was a pickup just prior to training camp by general manager Dave Gettleman. Big Blue was looking to find someone to rush the quarterback in defensive coordinator James Bettcher’s new scheme.
Unfortunately, things did not work out for the 10 year veteran out of the University of Cincinnati. According to Pro Football Reference, Barwin had a mere 12 tackles on the season, despite playing in 15 of 16 contests for the G-Men.
