Rueben Randle is undermining Giants’ biggest strength

It was lined up for the Giants to have a big day throwing the ball. And, even after the first two offensive series ended with Eli Manning interceptions, the defense rose up and prevented the Redskins from cashing in with any points.

In a game in which their defense allows 20 points, the Giants need to find a way to score 21. They cannot go down like they did, in a 20-14 loss to the Redskins. A 31-27 setback is just as harmful, but it would feel better and certainly more appropriate to a lopsided team. Like it or not, the Giants are built around their offense, built around Eli Manning’s right arm and a passing attack that is supposed to be among the NFL leaders.
