Once thought to be on the verge of stardom with the New York Giants, wide receiver Rueben Randle is now trying to get back into the league via the lowest rung of the NFL totem pole. Randle Tuesday signed a reserve/futures contract with the Chicago Bears.
A 2012 second-round draft pick by the Giants, the 6-foot-4, 205-pound Randle had size, speed and good hands. He caught a career-best 71 passes for the Giants in 2014. His four seasons with the Giants were, however, plagued with inconsistency, miscommunications with quarterback Eli Manning and questions about just how badly Randle wanted to play.
