The New York Giants have released TE Tyree Jackson (back) from the IR with an injury settlement, as first reported by Aaron Wilson of KPRC2.
The Giants originally signed Jackson to their practice squad on August 30th of 2023, one day after he was released by the Philadelphia Eagles. Jackson came into the NFL when he was signed by the Buffalo Bills as an undrafted quarterback out of Buffalo. He transitioned to the tight end position for the Eagles, and played at that position for the Giants as well.
Jackson’s experiences as a QB was briefly valuable for the Giants as well.
