The New York Giants announced Tuesday afternoon that they have signed second year defensive lineman Bobby Richardson after working him out after practice.
The Giants needed to add defensive line depth, as well as fill an open roster spot, after placing defensive tackle Corbin Bryant on the injured reserve list.
Richardson was signed by the New Orleans Saints as an undrafted free agent out of Indiana in 2015. He started for them that season, recording an interception of Blake Bortles on a tipped ball. He was waived and signed to the Saints’ practice squad in 2016, and released outright shortly thereafter.
