Ron Jaworski, who was a member of the Eagles search committee that settled on hiring Doug Pederson as head coach on Jan. 18, explained the team's decision to hire the rookie head coach over an experienced candidate such as ex-Giants coach Tom Coughlin.
Jaworski explained the Eagles' decision in great detail Wednesday on his radio show:
"I've known Doug Pederson since the early 1990s. I know the fabric that he's made of. I know the talent that he has as a coach. But, I also knew there were going to be some bumps in the road because he has never been in this position as a head coach.
