Robert Ayers Jr. out with hamstring injury, Jon Beason in | Giants inactives vs. Washington Redskins

EAST RUTHERFORD — Linebacker Jon Beason is set to make his season debut for the Giants, but they will be without defensive end Robert Ayers Jr., a tough blow for an already banged-up defense.

Beason is active for Thursday night's game against the Washington Redskins (8:25 p.m., NFL Network) after missing the first two games of the season with a sprained knee.

Ayers, who was listed as questionable, is out with a hamstring injury.

As expected, left tackle Ereck Flowers (ankle), cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie (concussion) and wide receiver Victor Cruz (calf) are all out as well.
