According to a statement on the team’s official website, the New York Giants signed Jon Halapio from their practice squad. If the name sounds familiar, Halapio spent all of training camp with Big Blue. He was likely one of the final roster cuts as the team pared down to 53 players.
“Halapio was signed to a reserve/future contract by the Giants on Jan. 9. He played in all four preseason games, including a start at left guard in the finale at New England, before he was waived on Sept. 2. Halapio was signed to the practice squad the following day.
