The New York Giants find themselves short-handed at linebacker after injuries to veterans Mark Herzlich and Keenan Robinson and the recent return of J.T. Thomas.
That might be why, according to Jim Thomas of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, the team is working out Michael Scherer, an undrafted free agent linebacker out of Missouri.
After Friday workout w/Bears, former MIzzou LB Michael Scherer has tryout scheduled w/Giants today.

Scherer played in four seasons for Mizzou, playing in spots his freshman year before securing a starting job his sophomore season.
