During the 2020 NFL season, it really looked like the New York Giants were phasing out veteran wide receiver Golden Tate by cutting down his playing time. With that being said it looks like they will release him this offseason, which makes a lot of sense.
ESPN’s Jordan Raanan mentioned during his Breaking Big Blue podcast that he believes Tate will definitely be released at some point during the offseason. The Giants, like every other NFL team are waiting for the official cap number for the 2021 season.
Tate is set to make $84 million in 2021 and over $5 million in 2022.
