Report — Giants cut Patrick Omameh, add Quadree Henderson to 53-man roster

Give New York Giants GM Dave Gettleman and head coach Pat Shurmur credit for admitting a mistake and moving quickly to get past it.

The Giants have reportedly released offensive lineman Patrick Omameh, signed to a three-year, $15 million contract ($5.5 million guaranteed) in the offseason. To replace Omameh on the roster, the Giants promoted kick returner/wide receiver Quadree Henderson from the practice squad.

Henderson has been cut from the 53-man roster, added to the practice squad, and now brought back to the active roster in the past few days.
