As much as New York Giants’ fans want the team to move on from quarterback Daniel Jones and draft someone like Clemson’s Trevor Lawrence or Ohio State’s Justin Fields, it looks like that won’t happen.
Zack Rosenblatt of NJ Advance Media says the Giants are committed to Jones beyond this season and believe he’s the right guy to replace Eli Manning.
The Giants still believe Jones can fill the Eli Manning-sized hole as their franchise quarterback. There are eight games left to evaluate if he is that guy. After a roller coaster 21 games to start his career, the Giants are still committed to Jones as their quarterback beyond 2020, too.
