NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) – Giants defensive tackle Jay Bromley reportedly will not be charged after a woman accused him last month of attempted rape in a Midtown hotel room.
According to the Daily News, the NYPD’s Special Victims Unit and Manhattan district attorney’s office conferred before deciding not pursue the case.
“He’s not going to be charged. There’s no criminality,” a high-ranking police official told the Daily News.
Bromley told cops he checked into the Hyatt Herald Square on Jan. 30, went to the bathroom and then emerged to find the 26-year-old woman, whom he met online, naked on a bed, according to the report.
