New York Giants’ assistant coach Freddie Kitchens was recently given a promotion from tight ends coach to senior offensive assistant.
Jordan Raanan of ESPN mentioned during his recent episode of his podcast Breaking Blue Blue that Kitchens will serve almost as an assistant offensive coordinator to Jason Garrett.
With the Giants’ offense ranking 31st in the NFL in 2020, many people were calling for Garrett to be fired. And of course some were hoping he would get a head coaching job elsewhere so he would leave. Of course neither has happened and it looks like he’s sticking around for at least another season.
