EAST RUTHERFORD — Redskins cornerback Josh Norman was fined $48,620 for his unnecessary roughness foul in Washington's 29-27 win over the Giants, a source confirmed to NJ Advance Media.
The fine was first reported by USA TODAY's Tom Pelissero.
Norman is a repeat offender due to his fines from last year's infamous brawl game with Giants wideout Odell Beckham Jr., hence the stiff penalty.
Norman received a personal foul in the fourth quarter of the game after delivering a high hit on Giants receiver Sterling Shepard near the head and neck area.
