That NFL mystery titled Was It A Catch was brewing again after Odell Beckham Jr.’s play at the side of the end zone was ruled a touchdown giving the Giants a 29-24 lead with just over 2 minutes left in the fourth quarter.
As the first CBS replay aired, Jim Nantz set the stage. Sounding rather disgusted by the prospect of having to explain another controversial call, Nantz said: “This whole thing, we go on and on, was it a catch, did he take it to the ground, did he have control….”
Nantz brought up the infamous Dez Bryant play before bringing in CBS’ in-house ref, Mike Carey.
