Ben McAdoo, the Giants’ head-coach-in-waiting for the past two years, is apparently not a dynamic media attraction.
The qualifier is necessary because the non-football intelligentsia (which despite claims to the contrary is most of us) has only had glimpses of the goateed McAdoo, looking mysterious in his dark shades, talking to Eli Manning on the sidelines.
While they have limited media availabilities, NFL coordinators are mostly seen and not heard. Outside of the players, who follow the NFL’s rigid media guidelines emphasizing limited access, the head coach is the voice of an organization — its mouthpiece and spin master.
