Putting New Orleans debacle behind them, Giants’ defense looks to regroup

The Giants’ defense was ripped to shreds last week down in New Orleans, surrendering 608 yards of total offense and seven TD passes from Drew Brees. Head coach Tom Coughlin is obviously not pleased, but has confidence the poor play was due to a combination of things. He said there would be few changes defensively this week against Tampa Bay.

“I think they will bounce back, I think they will,” said Coughlin on Wednesday. “I think what exactly that means, obviously each opponent is a different opponent. I think that the frame of mind will be the right way.
