The work of Pro Football Focus was once appreciated.
Old school box score stats clearly weren’t telling the whole story and football badly needed a source that was willing to give people more than what they saw on the surface.
Not only was it their willingness to watch game tape that caught the eyes of many fans but their new-age terminology and in-depth analytics gave their insight more purpose.
Personally, I was all-in.
Their subscription-based model seemed to be smart and it was an easy way for them to create a loyal fan base.
But their company mission has taken a completely different turn this football season.
