The injury bug keeps biting the Giants.
Cornerback Prince Amukamara has a partial tear in his pectoral muscle, a source confirmed Thursday, and the injury could keep him out for 2-to-4 weeks.
Losing the 26-year-old Amukamara is a huge blow to an increasingly thin defense, especially since the Giants’ two backup cornerbacks – Jayron Hosley (concussion) and Trumaine McBride (groin) – have been dealing with injury issues of their own. Cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie looked hobbled at times too, during the Giants’ 30-27 win over San Francisco on Sunday night, and he’s been battling minor injuries for two years.
