As the Giants approached their pick in the third round of the recent NFL Draft, there was a lot of excitement and a little surprise that Owa Odighizuwa was still available. The Giants didn’t hesitate to pick the fifth year senior out of UCLA, a true 4-3 defensive end that should help the team in a number of different areas in 2015. With the versatility to not only play end but also move inside to rush on third down, Odighizuwa has the potential to give the Giants the same type of versatility Justin Tuck once did. He has the strength to defend against the run and the quickness and speed to turn the edge and get to the quarterback.
