It's not a must-win for the Giants. But it might be.
The Giants won't be eliminated from the NFC East race if they lose to the Carolina Panthers on Sunday afternoon, but depending on what happens with Philadelphia and Washington there's a chance that they'll be virtually eliminated. Because if Washington and Philadelphia both win on Sunday and the Giants lose, there'll be only one path to the postseason for the Giants.
And it involves the longshot of a Washington-Philadelphia Week 16 tie.
At the moment, the Giants, Washington and Philly are all tied atop the division with a 6-7 record, but if the Giants lose and the other two win, the Giants will be one game back - which is a problem since Washington and Philly play each other in Week 16.
