EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. — New Orleans Saints cornerback P.J. Williams was carted off the field in the first quarter of Sunday’s game against the New York Giants after a scary-looking collision with Giants’ tight end Larry Donnell and a teammate.
Players immediately called for help when Williams, a second-year cornerback, went down with 6:15 left in the first quarter. Williams appeared to take a knee to the helmet while trying to tackle Donnell after a short pass completion. He was then kicked again in the back of the neck by teammate Craig Robertson as he tried to help on the tackle.
