The Philadelphia Eagles signed former NY Giants cornerback Shakial Taylor Tuesday, after Taylor was recently released.
Taylor opted out of the 2020 NFL season citing COVID-19 concerns, after the NY Giants originally tried to waive him, citing the fact that he fell into a high-risk category due to severe asthma. He was waived by the Giants on February 12.
He never appeared in a game for the Giants.
Originally signed as an undrafted free agent by the Indianapolis Colts in 2019, Taylor made his debut against the Kansas City Chiefs when he produced one tackle and broke up a pass prior to being waived one month later.
