Former New York Giants head coach and current Colorado offensive coordinator Pat Shurmur has a message for his former employer — and the rest of the NFL — regarding Buffaloes quarterback Shedeur Sanders.
“I’ve told all the pro scouts if you need a quarterback take Shedeur and if you don’t take him you’re taking the second-best guy,” Shurmur said on Thursday during a press conference in advance of Colorado’s appearance in Saturday’s Valero Alamo Bowl.
Shurmur, a two-time NFL head coach, has a reputation for doing quality work with quarterbacks throughout his time as an NFL coach.
