Pat Shurmur: “False narrative” that Giants aren’t looking for big plays in passing game

With the New York Giants having failed to score 20 points in all three of their losses this season, and coach Pat Shurmur and quarterback Eli Manning under fire for a seeming lack of aggression in the passing attack, Shurmur Friday said there was a “false narrative” that the Giants aren’t trying to be aggressive.

“That’s a false narrative that we weren’t trying to throw the ball down the field. That’s a false narrative, and if for some reason, they legislate against it, we have to check the ball down, keep the chains moving,” Shurmur told the team’s official website.
