Pat Shurmur close to becoming Broncos’ offensive coordinator

Pat Shurmur is close to working with another quarterback from the 2019 NFL Draft class.

Fired two weeks ago as the head coach of the Giants despite his impressive development of rookie Daniel Jones, Shurmur immediately became an in-demand candidate for multiple teams in search of an offensive coordinator, a source told The Post.

Shurmur picked the Broncos, and a deal is expected to get done, according to multiple unconfirmed reports. If it does, he will be paired with Drew Lock, who threw for 1,020 yards with seven touchdowns and three interceptions in five starts as a rookie this season.
