Owa Odighizuwa has done his homework on Giants

Tom Coughlin wanted help along the defensive line. And in the third round of the NFL draft, the Giants got him a developmental defensive end who knows all about the Big Blue D-lines of old.

On Friday night, with the 74th overall pick in the draft (the same pick that once yielded Justin Tuck), the Giants selected UCLA defensive lineman Owa Odighizuwa. Giants general manager Jerry Reese admitted that Odighizuwa is raw, but the team loves his athletic potential. 

“Great athlete,” said Reese. “A lot of upside. This guy, all the stuff he did at the (NFL Scouting) Combine were off the charts.
