Olivier Vernon, Connor Barwin dominate first practice in pads as offense struggles | Sights and sounds from Day 3 of Giants training camp

EAST RUTHERFORD -- Much has been made about the Giants' upgrades along the left side of the offensive line, adding veteran left tackle Nate Solder in free agency and left guard Will Hernandez in the second-round of April's NFL Draft, but Saturday's training camp practiced showcased just how far away the depth at this position is from truly improving over last season.

Four-year veteran Nick Becton looked like a turnstile at tackle, and Chad Wheeler didn't perform much better throughout Saturday's practice, after seeing significant playing time when injuries struck the line last season.
