The Jaguars were going after Giants phenom wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. during last weekend’s preseason game, teammate Victor Cruz believes.
Standing on the sideline because of a calf injury, Cruz said it was obvious to him the Jaguars defensive backs were looking to take cheap shots at Beckham.
“I was a little unhappy last week, I felt like some of those defensive backs were kind of gunning for him, and it was sad to see that go down because I couldn’t help him,” Cruz said.
He later added: “Just when guys have the opportunity to get an interception and they don’t even go for the ball.
