Beckham speaks out about NFL player contracts.
If Odell Beckham Jr. continues over the next few seasons to have the kind of success he had as a rookie, New York Giants ownership won't find themselves in an easy position when it comes time to negotiate a second contract with the star wide receiver. Especially not with Beckham already talking about how he believes NFL players don't make enough money.
"I think that we should make more money, personally," Beckham told The Huffington Post.
Beckham told the Huffington Post that the violence and brevity of the careers in the NFL is why he feels that way:
"I understand that basketball plays 80-something games, baseball plays this many games, soccer plays that many games, but this is a sport that's most-watched in America.
