This was supposed to be a nice, easy day.
The Giants had played their most complete game of the season against the Chicago Bears, and while that came too late to save the 2018 season, at least the home fans at MetLife Stadium would be rewarded for sitting in the rain with a nice victory over a playoff-bound team.
And then Odell Beckham Jr. got a bad case of the alligator arms. Then the Giants receiver, with a chance to dive on an onside kick and effectively end the game, inexcusably allowed a Bears player to beat him to the ground and the football.
