These, by and large, are artificial deadlines this time of year, and the Giants will continue to treat them as such this week as they gather for a three-day minicamp — the final practices before a six-week break prior to training camp. This camp means nothing as far as advancing Odell Beckham Jr.’s physical progress. He will attend the mandatory minicamp — as head coach Pat Shurmur last week said he would — but do not expect him to be running around and catching passes with the other receivers.
