According to multiple sources, the Detroit Lions have waived former NY Giants running back Paul Perkins.
Perkins only carried the ball three times in the two games he appeared in this season for the Lions.
The fourth-year running back started the season with the Giants before being waived in mid-September.
Just a few weeks ago, the Giants were forced to start rookie Jon Hilliman due to injuries they had in their backfield.
If those injuries resurface and Perkins goes unclaimed, the team could call upon their former fifth-round pick for some depth.
