According to ESPN’s Field Yates, the NY Giants have waived running back Paul Perkins.
Perkins was inactive for the first two games of this season after not playing a single game last season.
The Giants claimed former Stanford tight end, Kaden Smith, to fill his roster spot.
Smith was a sixth-round pick of the San Francisco 49ers this past April and he became the sixth tight end from Stanford to be selected in the NFL Draft since 2012.
He was waived by San Francisco on Saturday.
The Giants now have five tight ends on their 53-man roster.
