The NY Giants waived 2018 fifth-round pick R.J. McIntosh, ahead of the team’s first preseason game

R.J. McIntosh’s time with the NY Giants came to an end Wednesday, when the team released its fifth-round pick in the 2018 NFL Draft.

McIntosh saw limited playing time during his three-year tenure with the Giants, failing to climb the depth chart and provide much of a boost to a fledgling pass-rush.

It’s hard not to view McIntosh as a miss for general manager Dave Gettleman in the NFL Draft, specially given the NY Giants’ struggles to build a consistently dominant pass-rush over his three year tenure as GM.
