NY Giants: The Good News About Jonathan Stewart’s Bad Contract

Oh, the irony.

Just last night, I dialed up a 380+ word feature about how badly Dave Gettleman and the Giants look by signing running back Jonathan Stewart this past offseason.

And about 15 hours later, Stewart was placed on Injured Reserve with a foot injury.

With a cap hit of almost $4 million to basically be the team’s third-string running back, the Stewart signing made no sense from day one.

And before he could even play in a regular season game for the Giants, he totaled -5 rushing yards on 10 preseason carries.
