According to Art Stapleton of The Record, NY Giants wide receiver Russell Shepard could be released upon Golden Tate’s return from suspension.
Tate returns to the Giants on Monday following the end of his four-game suspension.
Meaning, the Giants will have to move on from at least one wide receiver on their active roster.
And it looks like it could be Shepard who is currently dealing with a foot injury that may force him out of action this week vs the Washington Redskins.
He has just three receptions on the season for 25 yards.
