According to Dan Duggan of The Athletic, he expects the NY Giants to release linebacker Nate Stupar prior to Thursday’s game vs the New England Patriots.
Stupar was recently re-signed due to injuries to Alec Ogletree (hamstring) and Tae Davis (concussion).
The veteran linebacker played 52% of the team’s defensive snaps on Sunday, registering the lowest Pro Football Focus grade of any Giant (27.4).
Releasing Stupar could then open up a spot for the team to promote running back Austin Walter from the practice squad.
