According to ESPN’s Jordan Raanan, NY Giants wide receiver Sterling Shepard has cleared concussion protocol.
Shepard suffered a concussion in Week 1 vs the Dallas Cowboys which sidelined him last week vs the Buffalo Bills.
Raanan adds that Shepard is “on track” to play this week vs the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
This is important news for rookie quarterback Daniel Jones, who will be making his debut this weekend.
The Giants gave Shepard a contract extension this past offseason to be the focal point of their passing offense.
