According to Field Yates of ESPN, the New England Patriots have released wide receiver Josh Gordon off of Injured Reserve.
He will now be subject to waivers.
The NY Giants are currently sixth in the NFL’s waiver wire priority which is based on their 2-6 record.
Wide receivers Cody Latimer and Bennie Fowler have been relatively invisible for the Giants this season.
And with Sterling Shepard having already sustained two concussions this year, it wouldn’t be a bad idea to add a player with a proven track record like Gordon.
