According to Art Stapleton of The Record, the NY Giants have promoted running back Austin Walter from the practice squad.
To make room for Walter, the Giants have released quarterback Alex Tanney.
The team will be without running backs Saquon Barkley (ankle) and Wayne Gallman (concussion) on Thursday vs the New England Patriots.
So, the decision to add Walter was an easy one.
Walter will join Eli Penny and Jon Hilliman in the Giants’ backfield.
